MURDO WAS BORN IN GLASGOW AND IS A FORMER PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALLER AND MANAGER WHO MADE TWENTY APPEARANCES FOR SCOTLAND, INCLUDING PLAYING IN THE 1990 WORLD CUP IN ITALY


AT CLUB LEVEL HE PLAYED FOR DUMBARTON, HIBERNIAN, AND BORUSSIA DORTMUND, FOR WHOM HE PLAYED OVER 100 LEAGUE GAMES, AND WON BOTH THE ‘GERMAN CUP’ AND THE ‘GERMAN SUPERCUP’


HE WAS ALSO AT CELTIC FOR NINE YEARS WHERE HE WON FIVE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS, TWO FA CUPS, AND ONE LEAGUE CUP, AND HAS THE DISTINCTION OF BEING AWARDED WITH THE SCORING THE GREATEST EVER OLD FIRM GOAL WITH A TITLE-WINNING DECISIVE STRIKE AGAINST RANGERS
